i don't know why i am even bothering to update this thing. oh well.
*i finish my MBA in THREE weeks! :) then, i'll be two graduate level accounting courses away from being qualified to teach accounting at the college level.
*i've almost been in my house for a year.
*i've been saving like a mad woman and have enough to gut and replace my kitchen and bathrooms. sooo excited :)
*it's been a year since i received the phone call from my dermatologist and heard the diagnosis "melanoma". i'm happy to see the changes in regulations for tanning bed use: taxes and re-classification by the FDA.
*i love my j-o-b.
*i'm going to start training for a 10k after graduation. gonna get in SHAPE!

just a few quick updates:
1. melanoma sucks. visit your dermatologist regularly.
2. i got a new j-o-b. i am no longer the dreaded auditor.
3. house is coming along. the exterior has been painted. now, i just need to finish the inside...
4. stainless steel appliances have been INSTALLED. dad and i had to cut the cabinets up a bit to make the fridge fit. good thing i am replacing them in the spring.
5. school is killing me right now. i have accounting info systems and governmental and not-for-profit accounting.
6. even though school is killing me, i still have a 3.9 GPA (and, i am halfway through). damn A minuses.
7. i wonder why i didn't have a 4.0 in my undergrad. i work full-time and take two graduate classes at a time (each 8 weeks) and maintain an awesome GPA.
8. i WILL graduate in MAY with my MBA.
9. mexico in february for a wedding.
10. still baking up a storm. mmmm. i should post my food pics here. on facebook, my "food porn" album gets the most comments. nom nom nom.
11. i'm awesome.
12. andddd, melanoma sucks.

drumroll please...
i officially have a 4.0 gpa after my first semester of grad school :) that's right. two A's!
i have four classes next semester:
...intermediate accounting 3 (as if 1 and 2 weren't enough...)
...organizational theory and design
...advanced accounting (grad level)
...visionary leadership (not really sure what this is...)
i think i am going to take one class in the summer (managerial economics). i should still be on track to graduate in spring 2010 with my MBA.
i've also started studying for a certification. there are three parts to the exam. and, i'm hoping to complete all three by early may. wish me luck!
everything else has been going extremely well. work, for the most part, is going well. i've become an in-charge and i am working with a client that i really like. living with my best friend is going well. it's nice to have someone to come home to. my social life is fantastic (all things considered). love life is going well, too!
i am truly blessed.

...wondering if it'll ever be done.
...wishing she wasn't such a perfectionist.
...not understanding why she is not capable of "BS-ing".
...sipping on a triple grande caramel mocha (delish).
...learning how to manage working full-time and going to school full-time.
...happy about being in graduate school.
...doing well in graduate school.
...finally understanding why people enjoy learning.
...loving her new coat.
...still in love with the gaslight anthem.
...looking forward to christmas with the family.
...in disbelief that her little brother is turning 22 on wednesday (!!!).
...still smitten with her kitten. (okay, so he's 2.5 years old, 15 lbs and NOT a kitten anymore...hey, it rhymed!)
...happy.

so, i was accepted to an MBA program at UMW last month. i had an advising appointment last night. i am taking 4 classes in the fall semester. uhm, working full-time and going to school full-time. am i crazy or what!? hah. also, the college is a good hour outside of richmond! i AM crazy!
andddd, i purchased a 40" samsung 1080p LCD tv. it's pretty freakin' sweet! it'll be sweeter when we have HD service! yesssss!
